On episode 17 of the Live Mike Podcast, Mike Romigh talks with long-time Beaver County community volunteer Valerie McKelvey, founder and director of the Franklin Center of Beaver County, including the Professional Outfitters charitable program providing clothing and other essentials to men, women and children facing challenging life transitions.

The Professional Outfitters and Variety Shoppe  is a program of the nonprofit organization, the Franklin Center of Beaver County, Inc. and relies solely on donations for the items it provides to the community.  It has three locations providing clothing and other essentials to men, women and children facing challenging life transitions, especially for those re-entering the workforce. Families can also receive household items such a pots, pans, and bedding when available.

Some of the Franklin Center’s important community programs include Beaver County Homeless Assistance, Beaver County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Dollar Energy, and the Aliquippa Council of Men and Fathers/Fatherhood Initiative, as well as various after-school and summer education programs for youth.
