The Memorial was dedicated to all the area residents who served their country in the armed forces. Daniel Cunning, Big Beaver’s first Mayor, wanted to use the stones from the foundation of his barn for the monument. Eventually Ruth Cunning, Daniel’s wife donated the barn stones to the Borough. When the Memorial Committee received state and federal grants, construction began. The memorial includes park benches, walkways, a small park space and the monument itself. It sits in front of the Borough’s Municipal Building. |

It features an 8 foot high memorial of polished black granite from a Pennsylvania mine atop a base of Vermont granite. There are the emblems of the five military branches and the POW logo. The memorial honors all from Beaver County, Pennsylvania who served. The bridge itself crosses the Beaver River from Route 51 in Bridgewater to Route 65 in Rochester Township. “In honor of all the men and women of Beaver County who have served in the armed forces of the United States of America -- May 26, 2014” will be inscribed on the base, the date the memorial is expected to be dedicated. Rome Monument in Rochester is in charge of construction; the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 862, the Beaver County chapter, is the sponsoring organization. |

Constructed in 1911, the station has also gone by the name of Woodlawn station because of the former town of Woodlawn that was merged with Aliquippa in the late 1870s. After the station closed to passengers, it was used for several years by the Jones and Laughlin Steel Company as an office building. Today, the structure sits vacant just outside the city of Aliquippa. The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990 as the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Passenger Station, Aliquippa. |

The B.F. Jones Memorial Library is a historic library in Aliquippa, a city in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States. Named for steel tycoon Benjamin Franklin Jones, it was built in 1927 with money donated by Jones' daughter. As a product of the profits of the Jones and Laughlin Steel Company, for which Aliquippa was a company town, it resembled a Carnegie library. Rated a high-quality example of small-scale Renaissance Revival architecture, the two-story library is built primarily of Indiana Limestone with a bronze roof. Among its leading features are multiple plaster casts, windows of stained glass, carvings in imitation of those made by Italian sculptor Andrea della Robbia, and a large statue of Jones. In 1978, the library was added to the National Register of Historic Places for its architecture and for its association with Jones in the development of Aliquippa.The library continues in operation to the present day. |

Numerous community organizations have used its space, which remains in continued use as a library, and it has been named a historic site. The building gained much wider recognition in 1985, when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places; it qualified both because of its architecture and because of its place in local history. One of twenty such locations in Beaver County, it is the only one in Beaver Falls.[1] It continues to be used as a library, although the institution is now part of a larger library system serving the entire county. |

Classes included languages, philosophy, and astronomy. The stone structure was built around 1806 making it one of the oldest buildings still standing in Beaver County. Though it was originally built as a school, the structure functioned as a railway station for a time, serving several railroads between 1883 and 1972. The structure is one of the oldest structures to have ever been used as a station. Notable alumni of the school were abolitionist John Brown,[5] Walter Forward, John White Geary, Daniel Leasure, William Holmes McGuffey. The Little Beaver Historical Society currently maintains the structure. |

According to Mayor Greg Bricker, this is the fifth mural to be completed in the city within 2022. Funding by Ohio Arts Council, East Liverpool Women’s Auxiliary Club, Columbiana County Land Reutilization Corporation, Heritage Thermal Services. Other murals recently completed can be seen on Bradshaw Avenue, Sixth Street at Bricker’s Cafeteria and Broadway at the Museum of Ceramics, with others currently being painted at the Elks Lodge and the highway underpass on Broadway. |

The Lady Slippers’ group commissioned local artist Christopher Leeper to do the mural, tracing the area’s rich pottery history from James Bennett, who brought the first commercial pottery to the area to the more modern day Fiestaware located across the Ohio River in West Virginia. Saturday’s visitors were invited to attend art shows by Leeper at the museum and multiple local artists at the Venture Real Estate building, and a celebratory pop-up party was set for 7 p.m. the same evening by the parking lot.
