On this episode of the TSVP Audio “Fix-It” Series, we talk about issues with recorded internet sound. For educational purposes we sourced four podcast clips recorded through VOIP (voice over internet protocol). After applying some basic audio “fixing” techniques and tools, we present “before and after” comparisons of the clips.
As always, our results demonstrate just one approach to doing audio repair work. Other engineers and editors will achieve different results, but with the same (albeit subjective) final outcome: the audio should sound better.
